500g Sliced Prosciutto

Prosciutto is Italian for ham but in New Zealand the word refers to a ham recipe that is spiced, dry cured then aged to perfection without the use of heat. Italians call this crudo prosciutto meaning raw ham.

It is superb eaten cooked or raw and can be fried until crisp. Serve either way in salads, gourmet sandwiches, antipaso, on pizza or as a simple entree with appropriate condiments.
